The Washington Society of Association Executives is pleased to provide you an opportunity to view one of the outstanding seminars presented at the Society’s Destination: Imagination Annual Convention held at the Semiahmoo Resort, June 1-3, 2008. This video-streamed presentation is being provided at no cost by WSAE to individuals who register below.

“Extraordinary Contract Clauses, Extraordinary Legal Risks” is a 75-minute seminar reviewing the increasing complex legal issues associated with procurement and contracting processes. It is intended for hoteliers, meeting planners and association executives, and features attorney Steven M. Rudner from the Dallas-based Rudner Law Offices.

WSAE is making this seminar available to you as part of our evaluation of rich media video streaming technology. We are considering use of rich media to deliver educational content over the Internet to our members and associates. After you have watched this seminar we would like to hear from you. Please contact us at info@wsaenet.org to provide your feedback and let us know if you would like to see more seminars delivered using this technology.

RICH MEDIA TECHNOLOGY

The seminar that you will view after registering is being streamed over the Internet using state-of-the-art technology provided to WSAE by Stony Hill Management. This technology allows you to watch and listen to Steven while you view his slide presentation. You can pause the presentation at any time, re-play portions if you wish and even search through his slides for a particular topic of interest.

You do not need any special software to view this seminar. Only Windows Media Player (version 9 or higher) and Internet Explorer (or other browser) are required. The seminar can also be accessed using a properly configured Mac. We recommend that you use a high speed Internet connection to view the presentation. Once the viewer window opens it should take only a few seconds for the video to start.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Very few viewers experience problems accessing a rich media streamed content. If for some reason the video and audio do not start or do not run smoothly on your computer, there are several steps you can take to correct the problems you may be experiencing.

·         If the video does not start at all, make certain that your network firewall permits access to video streamed content. If you have access to technical staff, please check with them.

·         If the video starts but does not run smoothly or the audio breaks up, you are most likely using an old version of Windows Media Player. You can upgrade for free by going to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download.

·         If you are using a pop-up blocker and can not access the video stream, please turn the blocker off.

CETstream From Stony Hill Management

Communicate… Educate… Train… that’s what Stony Hill Management’s CETstream technology is all about. CETstream provides trade associations, professional speakers and other “content creators” the capability to cost effectively produce and deliver their programs over the Internet using rich media technology. Video streamed events can be broadcast live or captured and archived for future viewing, anytime or anywhere users have an Internet connection. Access to events can be limited to authorized viewers, giving content creators the ability to “monetize” their presentations and generate revenue. For more information on CETstream contact Randy Weishiet, Sales and Marketing Director, at 515-963-7870 or via e-mail at randyweisheit@stony-hill.com.
